Sometimes, it’s good to be green. Milonga is a functional beverage that combines the uplighting, energizing effects of yerba mate with the relaxing, calm alertness characteristic of the blend of THC and CBD. Milonga’s team came to us with their loose-leaf yerba mate tea wanting to create a ready-to-drink version that pays homage to the traditional mate experience. THC and CBD were added later to stand out and bring something new to the edible cannabis space. It’s natural energy with a twist.
We sampled their product using a traditional mate gourd and straw kit to immerse ourselves in the consumer experience and really get a sense of the overall vibe of this beverage. The Milonga team was looking to create a series of labels featuring original illustrations that evoked a sense of the refreshing calm found within nature. Our illustrations were the highlight of this project. We tapped into a nature-focused, counter culture, new age look while incorporating the image of a mate gourd to bridge the traditional with the new.
